The Recruiting & Employee Development Coordinator will coordinate, manage, and maintain the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and department communications, and assist in effective support of the overall American Campus organization as relates to Employee Development, Human Resources, and Recruiting. This position is multi-faceted, fast paced, and requires extreme attention to detail.

 Critical Duties: 
  • Manage the day-to-day administration of the Applicant Tracking System (ATS), tracking/updating candidate offer acceptance components, and department communications to include, but not limited to: opening and closing requisitions/jobs, respond to candidate and manager inquiries, creation of candidate offer letters, etc.
  •  Manage paid advertising for open requisitions, including, but not limited to: opening new advertisements, tracking candidate volume, organization and/or uploading of applicants to applied requisitions, candidate follow-up communication, etc.
  • Maintain updated job descriptions, field mapping, and offer letters within Applicant Tracking System (ATS).
  • Maintain access rights and/or remove access for Applicant Tracking System (ATS) users.
  • Run, format, and send regular department reports on a weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis.
  • Responsible for managing and sending corporate on-boarding communication for new hires to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage onboarding process within ATS.

Essential Duties: 
OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED 
  • Support all areas of the department in administrative duties as directed and/or requested, to include, but not limited to: audits, culture and employee engagement/retention initiatives, social media and employee brand initiatives, etc.
  • Oversee department promo inventory and supplies to include, but not limited to: onboarding promo and materials, career fair promo and materials, etc.
  • Assist in identified job posting optimization, sourcing, job board procurement, recruitment planning, etc.
  • Assist in tracking of paid advertising as needed and/or directed to include, but not limited to: generating summary reports on a quarterly and annual basis, vendor communication, tracking invoices, etc.
  • Assist as needed, and/or requested in initial screening of candidates and refer qualified applicants to the hiring manager to schedule and interview. 
  • Assist in drafting and/or edit written materials and correspondence for internal and external distribution to attract top talent.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of American Campus job fairs, and external career fairs as needed and/or directed.
  • Assist in the planning and implementation of department development initiatives/conferences as needed, and/or directed.
  • May assist in support of a designated recruiting portfolio and/or specific requisitions for talent acquisition, identification, and placement within organization as needed and/or requested.

Education/Experience: 
  •  Associates’ or Bachelors’ degree, 2-3 years’ experience in student housing and/or multi-family housing, corporate recruiting, and/or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

Knowledge of: 
  • Administrative functions in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Student housing, multi-family housing, and/or recruiting preferred.
  • Social Media Platforms preferred.

Skill in: 
  • Effective written and verbal communication with both internal and external resources.
  • MS Office Suite with advanced skills in Email organization and Excel.
  • Organization and prioritization.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter, problem solver and team player with a hands-on approach.
  • Shows initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Resolving problems utilizing a strong analytical approach.
