Position Summary

The Production Supervisor oversees all manufacturing operations to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality production of RF products. This role is responsible for production planning, scheduling, quality compliance, team leadership, and process improvement. The Production Supervisor works closely with engineering, inventory, and quality teams to ensure customer orders are fulfilled accurately, on schedule, and in compliance with industry and company standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and execute the production schedule to meet on-time delivery (OTD) targets.
  • Coordinate with engineering and inventory teams to ensure readiness of materials, documentation, and resources.
  • Monitor and adjust schedules based on changing priorities, lead times, or customer requirements.
  • Track job status and update master job lists for company-wide visibility.
  • Manage manufacturing operations from work order creation through shipment.
  • Ensure product build, tuning, and testing meet quality and performance standards.
  • Implement process improvements to streamline production and eliminate bottlenecks.
  • Ensure production processes align with ISO 9001, ESD, and other applicable compliance requirements.
  • Partner with the Quality team to resolve defects, implement corrective actions, and improve yield rates.
  • Drive adherence to work instructions, modification worksheets, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Collaborate with the inventory team for timely kitting, material purchasing, and component substitutions.

Team Leadership & Training

  • Lead, train, and mentor production staff in assembly, soldering, RF testing, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Manage daily workloads, assign tasks, and oversee staff performance.
  • Conduct performance reviews and provide coaching for skill and efficiency development.
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment in line with 5S principles.

Process Improvement & Reporting

  • Monitor and report on production KPIs such as OTD, yield rates, and throughput.
  • Analyze metrics and lead initiatives for efficiency, quality, and cost improvements.
  • Collaborate with engineering to enhance manufacturability and reduce rework.
  • Provide leadership with regular production performance and capacity reports.
  • Partner with engineering for smooth product handoffs and technical support.
  • Coordinate with customer service and sales teams regarding order status and delivery timelines.
  • Support program managers in achieving project milestones and objectives.

Requirements

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of production or manufacturing management experience, preferably in RF electronics or a related industry.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 compliance and ESD control programs.
  • Experience with ERP systems and production scheduling tools.

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of RF electronics manufacturing processes.
  • Familiarity with assembly, soldering, and RF test equipment.
  • Understanding of Lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Other Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and work in a lab/production environment.
  • Occasional overtime or weekend work may be required to meet deadlines.
