IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Sr. Manager of Marketing & Digital Programs

STATUS: Part-time, Non-Exempt

HOURS: 12-16 hours / week 

PAY RATE: $25.00 - $28.00 / hour


BIMA is seeking a Digital Programs Coordinator to create video content that highlights the Museum’s exhibitions, programs, events, and behind-the-scenes stories. This role will include editing pre-shot auditorium programs, creating short-form highlight videos of BIMA’s events, and short interview videos. All output should align with BIMA’s brand voice, and proficiency in Adobe Premiere is required.

The right candidate is creative, deadline-driven, culturally savvy, and possesses a strong work ethic and attention to detail. The right individual must be comfortable filming in a variety of environments, directing b-roll capture, collecting media release forms, and editing engaging content for social media, web, and promotional use. Experience with sound, lighting, and storytelling for digital audiences is highly valued. Help us bring BIMA’s story to life!

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

As part of BIMA’s marketing and communications efforts, the Digital Programs Coordinator:

- Shoots b-roll of BIMA events, exhibitions, and behind-the-scenes activities.

- Captures and produces short-form video content for social media platforms.

- Edits both short-form and occasional long-form video content using Adobe Premiere, adhering to BIMA’s brand voice and visual standards.

- Develops video content for BIMA’s ongoing series and digital storytelling initiatives.

- Collaborates with the marketing team to ensure content aligns with campaign and engagement goals.

- Organizes and archives video files for easy access and future use.

- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

- 3 years of experience in videography and editing for digital platforms, or a related degree/certification in film, media production, or digital content creation

- Proficiency in Adobe Premiere (After Effects experience is a plus)

- Demonstrated experience shooting b-roll and event coverage

- Experience producing content for video platforms (Instagram, YouTube)

- Strong understanding of visual storytelling and editing for both short-form and long-form formats

- Ability to maintain BIMA’s brand voice and aesthetic across video content

- Excellent visual composition and framing skills for video shooting

- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with creative teams

- Excellent time management and organizational skills

- Excellent adaptability to dynamic shooting environments

- Excellent problem-solving skills during production and post-production

- Excellent attention to detail in editing and quality control

- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license to travel for on-location shoots and events.

- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

- Ability to sit, walk, and stand for extended periods

- Ability to use computer monitors and keyboards for extended periods

- Ability to pass a mandatory background security screening

- Availability to work major BIMA events as needed, especially the annual Auction, member parties, and occasional off-site tabling events

- This position requires their own transportation and must have a current Washington State Driver’s License and proof of insurance
