Essential Job Functions
- Approve AP invoices and ensure accurate sales tax filings
- Maintain amortization, prepaid, and depreciation schedules
- Complete monthly bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Manage inventory adjustments and intercompany transactions
- Update and communicate market P&Ls
- Ensure accurate project cost tracking, track bids, and payment schedules
- Various AR duties, including posting of invoices and tracking of aged receivables
Work Environment and Time Requirements
The Staff Accountant works a standard work week in an office environment.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent
- CPA or CPA candidate is a plus (you will be working under a CPA in this role)
- 2+ years of experience in AP/AR/general ledger accounting
- Proficient in Excel
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with construction accounts.
- Experience in manufacturing (WIP and Finished Goods)
- Experience with SAP and Hyphen Solutions (e.g. SupplyPro) software.
- Experience with month-end reconciliation workpapers
