Your new responsibilities
We are looking for a positive, inquisitive HR Generalist, who loves streamlining processes and problem solving. Someone who will ensure that HR operates efficiently and smoothly. In addition, our new HR Generalist will support managers regarding HR matters and will make sure processes are followed by involving the right stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will be proactive and have experience in handling a wide range of human resources task to run HR in 2 countries.
This person must be exceedingly well organized, flexible, must have excellent attention to detail, is able to work independently with little or no supervision, and enjoys the challenges of supporting a company of diverse people.
- Provides support for local management, but also managers that are not necessarily located in the 2 countries itself. Besides that also provide support for HR admin and the local assistants in the countries
- Responsible for implementing global HR policies, implementing and keeping up to date of country specific regulations, handbook(s), recruiting, training, retention, resignations, payrolling, onboarding, insurances etc.. Not all tasks are done in person as there is also administrative back-up from the local assistants at the respective sites. The responsibility however for an accurate carrying out of these tasks is with you
- Close cooperation with managers on packages for new hires, communication and contracts
- In case of resignations; handle the full process regardless of the reason for the resignation. Keep close contact with all stakeholders (managers, HRBP, lawyer) to make sure that such cases are handled in an accurate way
- Develop local company policies and procedures, and ensure they are implemented appropriately after approval and making sure all files are complete and organized
- Stakeholder management is an important part of the function. Keeping good track on informing and involving the necessary parties is essential. Examples of stakeholders are, but not limited to: (local) management, local assistants, HRBP’s, Compensation & Benefits, International assignments, GBS
Who we are looking for

- Bachelor's degree in HR is preferred but not required. More important is your ability to think and work on bachelor level
- Demonstrable working experience in Human Resources (3 – 5 years)
- Thorough knowledge of the Spanish labor law; knowledge of the Portuguese labor law is nice to have, but no explicit demand
- Experience in working in a matrix organization is preferred
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills are essential
- The ideal candidate keeps calm while working under pressure, maintains confidentiality, is able to prioritize, is flexible and has willingness to work closely with the HR team locally and internationally
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Knowledge of using HR related systems/tools is an added advantage
- You should be based in Spain, near Valencia
- Mother tongue should be Spanish, fluent in English. Portuguese is nice to have
