First Choice Health Centers is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) who will join our team as a key clinical leader supporting the health and safety of patients and staff through employee health program coordination, infection prevention and control, vaccine management, and clinical staff education and competency assessment. The RN works collaboratively with leadership, providers, and external partners to promote regulatory compliance, quality care delivery, and workforce readiness.
*This is a part-time position with flexible scheduling at 24 hours per week (no weekends or evenings).

- The annual pay range for this position is $38.50 - $46.00/hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to work experience, certifications, etc.

Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required:
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current RN license in the state of Connecticut, in good standing
- CPR certification from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required
- Knowledge of current vaccination guidelines and infection prevention standards
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and state immunization registries
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to design and deliver educational content and training
- Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple responsibilities
- Bi-lingual with fluency in Spanish preferred but not required.
Experience and Training:
- A minimum 2 – 3 years of RN experience, preferably in an outpatient or public health setting
- Knowledge and experience with primary care setting, including pediatric immunizations, infection prevention and clinical education strongly preferred
Standard Job Duties:
- Coordinate onboarding health screening process through designated occupational health partners including TB testing, immunization review, and company required drug testing.
- Coordinate annual flu vaccination clinics and other employee immunization campaigns.
- Track and manage employee exposures, post-exposure follow-up, and return-to-work evaluations.
- Maintain confidential employee health records and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory bodies.
- Assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring infection prevention policies and procedures.
- Participate in infection control rounds, audits, and internal assessments.
- As needed, educate staff on standard precautions, hand hygiene, PPE usage, etc.
- In partnership with the Pharmacy and RN Manager, monitor vaccine ordering, storage and management per CT DPH guidelines for CT WIZ. Ensure accurate documentation in the EHR and immunization registry.
- Monitor vaccine inventory and ensure proper vaccine storage and handling.
- As needed, administer immunizations in accordance with CDC, Center policy, and state guidelines.
- Coordinate orientation and onboarding for new clinical staff, including training and competency assessment
- Support annual competency assessment process in alignment with clinic policies and regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with leadership to identify skill gaps or performance improvement opportunities.
