Sutphen is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced senior staff accountant to join our team in Dublin, Ohio.
In this role, you’ll handle key accounting functions—from payroll oversight and benefits reconciliation to accounts receivable, journal entries, and commissions tracking. You’ll also play a critical role in month-end close, managing our corporate credit card program, and supporting the 401(k) audit process.

Essential Job Functions
What You’ll Do

Oversee weekly payroll accounting and ensure accurate GL postings.

Reconcile employee benefit billings and resolve discrepancies.

Manage commissions calculations and accounting.

Monitor and maintain customer accounts, AR aging, and cash applications.

Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end close activities.

Oversee corporate credit card reconciliations and ensure policy compliance.

Support 401(k) audit preparation and fixed asset/lease accounting.
What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5+ years of progressive accounting experience.

Payroll and benefits-related accounting experience required; ERP knowledge preferred.

Expertise in payroll systems, Paycom preferred.

Solid understanding of GAAP and internal controls.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Self-starter with a continuous improvement mindset.
