Responsibilities:

  • Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership familiarizing yourself with the service department & procedures
  • Perform oil changes, tire rotations, multi-point inspections and tire repairs.
  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems including engine, transmission, electrical steering, suspension, brakes, air conditioning, etc
  • Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers can be informed if any additional service is needed. Providing an estimate of time needed for additional repairs
  • Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications
  • Perform diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
  • Test all systems or components ensuring they are secure and working properly.
  • Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the maintenance issue.
  • Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
  • Prevent maintenance as it relates to repairing or replacing worn parts.
  • Follow a checklist to ensure that each critical part of the vehicle is examined.
  • Watch or inspect parts such as: like hoses, belts, plugs, fuel systems, brakes, and other possible troublesome items.
  • Use power tools, machine tools and common hand tools.
  • Review work orders and discuss with the supervisor.
  • Inspect motor in operation, road test vehicles and test systems and components using computerized diagnostic and other testing devices to diagnose and isolate faults.
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components including fuel system, brakes, steering and suspension, engine, drive train, emission control and exhaust, cooling, climate control, and electrical and electronic systems.

 

Qualifications


Qualifications:

  • 1 year of service center experience preferred
  • Technical degree preferred
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Ability to identify the problem quickly
  • Effective analytical and communication skills
  • Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills
  • Ability to learn new technology and repair and service procedures and specifications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic Computer Skills
  • Positive, friendly attitude
  • Experience working on Toyota specific vehicles / FCA certification (all levels relevant).
  • Preference will be given to candidates who have completed Toyota level training.
  • Professional demeanor and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Efficient problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and work ethic.
  • Ability to meet physical demands such as heavy lifting, standing for long periods of time and using power and hand-held equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a safe driving history.
