Job Description:
Acts as an objective advisor to LOB heads. Drives execution of key strategic initiatives. Leads reporting and analytical efforts to deepen understanding of business economics, client attrition, client profitability, etc. Leads analyses to screen potential acquisition targets and manages business development process. Executes business/strategic planning process across sub-lines of business including management of strategic reviews by senior leadership. Leads the design, development, execution and continuous improvement of LOB reporting and dashboards.
Personal Retirement Solutions (PRS) include IRA, Annuity, Life Insurance, and Education Savings plans. The products are critical to providing competitive and differentiated advice to wealth management clients. The ISG Personal Retirement Product Integration Manager is responsible for accelerating growth and driving advisor enablement within these product lines. The role serves 3 primary functions: 1) The role is responsible for the field engagement of our Life Insurance BGA partners. This responsibility ensures our partners are well positioned to support our Financial Advisors ability to effectively deliver Insurance and LTC solutions to their clients. 2) The role drives advisor enablement by increasing the scale at which advisors implement our solutions. This includes advisor education, and enhancements to field facing resources. 3) The role works to enhances the delivery of our product through the integration of emerging technology, brand, and our distribution channels.
Job Responsibilities:
All PRS Product Growth Orientation Responsibilities (60% of time):
- Growth – Working with Product Heads to identify, and execute, opportunities to enhance the delivery of PRS products. This could include activities such as: (deepening value proposition, enhancement of distribution models, engagement with marketing to increase overall brand appeal and engagement).
- Advisor enablement - Exploring enhancements to field facing resources such as ERICA, Ask Merrill, ORC, Wealth management planning tools, website, and client facing brand of personal retirement. This should include a forward-looking lens to leverage emerging technology with the goal of increasing FA capacity with respect to time allocated to the implementation of PRS products.
- Supporting the delivery of exceptional client/advisor experience through the purchase process and lifecycle of PRS products.
Insurance Specific Activities (Life, LTC, Disability) (40% of time):
- Execute routines with BGA leadership and field to drive accountability and growth. These can include:
- Collaborating across ISG teams especially Specialist and Relationship management.
- Weekly/Monthly meetings with BGA leadership to review team activity and business results.
- Quarterly meetings with BGA leadership reviewing sales initiatives, strategic planning, and quarterly results.
- Integration with field leaders to improve Financial Advisor field engagement.
- BGA model, Insurance sales, field support, and engagement.
- Participating in national meetings and strategy sessions.
Required Qualifications:
- 8+ years wealth management and/or retirement product experience.
- Ability to craft compelling narratives that influence stakeholders and drive cross functional alignment.
- Skilled to translate product features into business value though strong technical understanding of purpose, process, and client benefit.
- Ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external partners.
- Exceptional communication skills – structuring presentations, written, and verbal.
- Bias of curiosity to explore emerging technology that we are using at the firm to enhance our product positioning.
- Strategic Thinking - Ability to develop new frameworks for optimal business models, identify risk/mitigants to headwinds.
- Commercial instinct - Ability to identify ways to promote our digital presence and brand awareness.
- Series 7 and 63/65 or 66 preferred at time of hire or must be able to obtain within 120 days of start date.
- Life, Health, and Variable Annuity Insurance licensing or must be able to obtain in 120 days
Desired Qualifications:
- Experienced in gathering and evaluating field feedback to continuously optimize positioning and enhance advisors’ tools/resources.
- Dynamic technology leadership - ability to recognize opportunities to enhance systems leverage technology and enhance planning resources.
- Prior experience in launching, measuring, and iterating programs to support growth initiatives using data.
