About the role
As the contract manager you will be responsible for managing Council’s various Roads Infrastructure commercial contracts, internal service level agreements, grant administration and delivery of Council’s capital works programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and oversee contracts and tender processes for roads infrastructure assets, ensuring compliance and value for money
- Coordinate the delivery of capital works programs and assist in the operational management of street lighting, street furniture, and other civil assets.
- Provide expert engineering and asset-related guidance to internal and external stakeholders and maintain effective partnerships across agencies and contractors.
- Support the development of asset management strategies, service level agreements, and grant funding applications, while monitoring performance and reporting outcomes.
- Promote safe work practices, ensure adherence to regulations and Council policies, and contribute to continuous improvement and ethical service delivery.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- Degree in Civil Engineering or similar discipline and eligible to be a member of the institution of Engineers Australia.
- C Class license
- 10 years’ experience in managing civil engineering/ commercial contracts and project/program management.
- Strong contract management, negotiation skills, and technical expertise in roads infrastructure.
- Demonstrated experience in managing construction contracts, developing priority works programs, and resolving complex asset-related technical issues.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships.

We are offering an attractive remuneration from $129,776 to $142,860 plus 12% superannuation.
