About the Role:

This full-time position is responsible for overseeing the health and care of 2 clients in their home. The team member’s job functions include maintaining a safe and healthy living environment for the clients and working cooperatively with other team members to ensure all health needs are met promptly.

Required Daily Task:

  • Be responsive to clients’ needs at all times and follow their instructions.  
  • Assist with health and hygiene needs including dental, hair, and make-up.  
  • Assist with medication management and logs. 
  • Assist with wound care as needed. 
  • Ensure exercise regimen is adhered to as scheduled (PT/OT or walking with the walker 3X daily).
  • Must keep daily logs and interact with specific individuals about health and wellness needs of the clients.
  • Communicate and interact effectively with various in-house team members.
  • Document observations on any new or changing health conditions and respond promptly to medical needs and treatments. 
  • Duties may include some light meal preparation. 
  • Schedule may include some night shifts. 


Job Requirements:

  • Personal care attendant experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Reliable, compassionate, and patient.
  • Current CPR certification or within 3 months of hire.
  • Current driver license.
  • Able to assist in transporting to appointments.
  • Occasional scheduling flexibility to cover shifts/days off for staff vacation/holiday coverage.
  • Must pass criminal background check. 
  • Willing to drive to Boerne
  • Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure that our clients receive the best possible care and support.

This job operates in a private client’s home. This role is centered around providing direct, hands-on care in a non-medical setting, often one-on-one with clients.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work will vary. This position may require evening, weekend, and holiday shifts. Schedule will be determined by the department manager.
