Role Summary
The job incumbent will oversee the demand planning, purchasing of inventory working closely with Internal Teams and Suppliers using your well-honed communication skills and problem-solving ability
Main Tasks
- Conduct timely purchasing of all products to meet customer demand
- Plan all supply and logistics activities for production materials and finished products (input and output flow) to ensure cost-effective processes from suppliers to customers
- Review open Purchase Orders for potential changes and ensure volume coverage to supplied forecasts
- Manage import & drop shipment with the suppliers
- Responsible for customs clearance for imported shipments, including fumigation with the customs broker, providing required information/ documents.
- Prioritize import shipments receiving sequence and processing of good inwards with 3PL
- Verify import shipment & freight invoices price for payment
- Inventory management, including inventory reconciliation, to provide timely reporting of KPI data and reporting metrics to management as required
- Optimum Inventory Management: Analysis, Purchasing, Stock Analysis, Replenishment
- Validate demand plans including volume at product family and SKU level, and manage adjustments
- Develop, implement and improve the supply/demand planning methods using SAP tools in the area of responsibility
- M+H forecast input demand to ensure on-time supply of the required materials and components
- Provide analysis on past, current and future supply/demand data to forecast demand volatility
Your Profile
- University degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or equivalent field of education
- Minimum 3 years’ prior exposure to demand or supply planning
- Strong communication, negotiations and rapport building skills with all levels of stakeholders
- High capability in usage of Microsoft Excel, Power Point etc.
- Proficient in analysing data, presenting plans/results, reporting issues, and communicating with internal and external stakeholders
- Experience with ERP systems SAP, MM, PP and Advanced Planning Systems are preferred but not essential
- Excellent collaboration skills: work within a team to achieve common goals and be able to work with other teams and business functions
