New York Life Investments is a leading multi-boutique investment management business and a wholly owned subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, a Fortune 100 company, with USD 750bn in AUM. With a commitment to long-term value creation, we work with clients globally to deliver innovative, high-conviction investment solutions across different asset classes

Founded in 1938, MacKay Shields has grown steadily through evolving and often challenging market environments. Becoming a registered investment adviser in 1969, we have continually expanded our capabilities and now offer a range of investment products across both U.S. and international markets.

In 1984, MacKay Shields became a wholly owned, fully autonomous subsidiary of New York Life Insurance Company, a premier financial services provider and one of the most highly rated insurance companies in the United States. To consolidate and grow its broad array of investment management and retirement plan services, New York Life formed New York Life Investments in 1999—of which MacKay Shields is a key affiliate.

NYL Investments UK LLP is a London-based subsidiary of New York Life Investments that is authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority.  All investment personnel employed by NYL Investments UK have been appointed as dual-hatted officers of MacKay Shields to provide investment management services to clients of MacKay Shields.  MacKay Shields continues to operate independently in both investment decision-making and compensation, while benefiting from the global reach and resources of the broader New York Life Investments organization.

MacKay Shields seeks a Credit Analyst to support its Global Fixed Income Investment Team, who will be based in NYL Investments UK’s London office.

The Credit Analyst’s coverage will be sector-focused with a concentration in Europe, and the analyst will be expected to understand and actively incorporate industries and sector trends to forecast business, industry, and economic conditions for use in making investment decisions.
