Job Purpose
The New Business Planning Manager will spearhead the identification, development, and launch of new businesses that meet changing marketplace needs or capitalize on emerging trends
Duties and responsibilities
- Stay updated on industry trends and competitive landscape
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities.
- Evaluate competitive strategies through analysis of related products, market, or share trends.
- Assess current business capabilities, including people, processes, technology, and information, to enable integrated business planning
- Develop comprehensive business plans to support senior management approval to launch new business activities
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to develop and support the new business initiatives in accordance with the approved plan
- Where appropriate, manage the launch and initial startup of the new business opportunities by the approved plan. Once stable, manage the transition of the business to the appropriate internal organization(s)
- Where appropriate, collaborate with Sales Management to manage the launch of the new business opportunities per the approved plan
- Monitor and track key performance indicators to evaluate the effectiveness of new business initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and create reports to support decision-making processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess and optimize new business performance.
- Identify and drive initiatives to improve operational efficiency, including process improvements, cost reduction, and systems enhancements.
- Support the development and execution of budgeting and forecasting activities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Computer Science, or Information Systems preferred, will consider work experience in lieu of degree.
- 5+ years of experience in business planning, product marketing, and/or product management for a B2B2C technology services organization
- Experience in identifying, planning, and launching new businesses required
- Experience in launching e-commerce B2B and B2C services required
- Experience with retail store operations and/or self-service equipment preferred
- Experience with online imaging platforms and/or imaging hardware preferred
- Experience with business case development.
- Comfortable running budget plans and collaborating with other teams to accomplish goals.
- Familiar with financial benchmarks, liabilities, depreciation, and amortization.
- Experience with applicable office and reporting programs, software, and systems.
- Demonstrated negotiation and attention to detail.
- Strong time management and critical thinking.

Physical Demands
- Must be able to sit/stand for 8 hours
- The ability to use arms/hands/fingers to feel and reach
- Be able to bend/stoop/kneel as needed
- Must be able to hear and talk to communicate with customers
- Must be able to push/pull/ lift at least 45 lbs. individually and 50 lbs. with the help of a team member.
- Ability to work in an office setting, and spend primary working hours at a desk using a computer and other office equipment such as printers, copiers, postage machines, etc.
