The Senior IT Manager SAP Development has the global responsibility to ensure that applications are designed and implemented along the requirements of Clariant businesses and is responsible for guaranteeing efficient, high-quality development and implementation rules. The Senior IT Manager SAP Development has to manage a qualified team of global professionals and optimize services through working with standardized processes and tools on a global scale.
Responsibilities
Globally accountable for SAP applications design & development for Business Units and Global Functions, including system design, data modeling, programming, testing, release planning, maintenance, and optimization.
Core responsibilities
Lead the global design, development, and optimization of SAP applications across business units and functions, covering system architecture, data modeling, coding, testing, and release planning.
Manage and develop a high-performing global team of SAP specialists, fostering collaboration and technical excellence.
Define scalable and efficient solution architectures aligned with business needs and SAP best practices.
Oversee end-to-end project delivery, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with business goals while also providing ongoing support.
Manage vendor relationships and budgets, ensuring cost-effective service delivery and adherence to contractual obligations.
Enforce global standards and continuously improve development methodologies, tools, and team assignments for greater efficiency.
Provide technical leadership in ABAP development, SAP BTP services, and system integration to ensure innovative and robust solutions.
Drive user satisfaction through effective service management, seamless project handovers, and alignment of technical solutions with business requirements.
Requirements
Qualifications
A degree in IT, Computer Science, or Business Management
Over 5 years of senior-level people management experience
More than 3 years of experience in IT project management
At least 3 years of international work experience
Strong proficiency in English communication
Hands-on experience with ABAP programming
Knowledge of SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform)
Experience with integration technologies
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA
