Job Purpose
Assurance of quality systems across the company’s businesses, establishing controls, verifying input materials, their suppliers and processes that meet world – class benchmarks
Core Responsibilities and Key Result Areas
- Maintain all assigned operations and technical documents.
- Ensure strict conformity to GMP, GHP, and GLP always.
- Adhere to all established operational standards.
- Verify that all raw materials and packaging materials meet specifications before use in the central kitchen and before dispatch to stores.
- Sample all fresh consignments supplied to the warehouse to confirm quality integrity.
- Conduct spot checks on processes and materials before clearance for use, whenever required.
- Develop measurable standards for assigned materials and processes.
- Ensure calibration of all working tools in line with the work instructions.
- Standardize all chemicals, media, and reagents as stipulated in the work instructions.
- Maintain accurate and traceable documentation for all analytical, development, and production processes.
- Report any non-conformity beyond personal competence to the superior without making assumptions.
- Carry out analytical tests in compliance with approved work instructions.
- Collate and process analytical data, providing timely reports to the superior.
- Support regulatory activities with government agencies, when required.
- Maintain confidentiality of all technical information and documentation.
Quality Compliance
- Has the authority to hold any non-conforming product, in consultation with the Line Manager. In the absence of the Line Manager, the decision remains substantive.
- Authorized to liaise with regulatory agencies in the absence of the Line Manager or when delegated to act in that capacity.
Key Performance Indicators
- No. of Customer complaints relating to quality of raw and finished products.
- No of regulatory defaults relating to quality of environmental compliances, raw and finished products.
- % of production conformance to pre-set quality standards.
Knowledge Requirements
- Familiar with the Food Industry Trends.

Experience Requirements
Minimum of university degree/HND or its equivalent in Food Sc. & Tech, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Chemistry, and other related discipline.
Membership of IQAN, or any other related professional degree is an added advantage
Minimum of 0-2 years’ experience in a similar role is required
