Be a part of a collaborative team dedicated to making a difference in the TCNJ and Trenton community! CEL Leaders play a crucial role in supporting the initiatives of the Center of Community Engagement through the CEL and Bonner Institutes. CEL Leaders deliver impactful educational experiences by leading and interacting with groups of students on community service experiences throughout the Trenton community. CEL Leaders also receive enhanced education, professional skills, and development through collaborating with community partners to understand and address various social issues and community-identified needs.
The Center for Community Engagement is seeking candidates for CEL & Bonner Certified Driver position.
Main Responsibilities:
Maintain general knowledge and understanding of the Community Engaged Learning Programming at TCNJ.
Complete accurate record keeping of attendance of students at Community Engaged Learning events
Providing quality and friendly customer service.
Knowledge of the community surrounding TCNJ and the many organizations that students can engage with while at TCNJ.
Be comfortable driving a 12 passenger commercial van
Driving CEL students to and from Community Engaged Learning events.
Leading and participating with FYCEL students at service experiences with Community Partner sites
Timely collection and distribution of forms, attendance sheets, and van keys from and to CEL staff and community partners.
Engaging and connecting with Community Partners to create a meaningful experiences during the time of service
Engaging and interacting with FYCEL students through reflecting on service and the community

Required Qualifications:
Full-non-provisional drivers license
Completion of an online van training certification through SafeCollege and in-person driving training with CEL staff
Participation in a CEL Leader orientation with CEL staff
Preferred Qualifications:
Successful completion of FYCEL Requirement (FYC 100 or IDS 103 course)
Flexible schedule
Strong communication skills
