The Computer Help Desk Technician provides technical support to government customers, scheduling and maintaining computer systems, printers, VoIP telephones, and manages IT asset inventory. We will train the right person to learn the role and IT. This role supports customers in creating helpdesk tickets for service, doing pick up and delivery of assets for customers, and scheduling appointments for services. The Technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, provide user training, and ensure accurate IT asset tracking.

This individual will provide first-level end-user technical support, resolving issues efficiently and effectively, and learn when to escalate issues/tickets to the higher tiers.  The right person will learn to troubleshoot a variety of computer hardware and software, maintain printers and telephones, establish network connectivity, and manage strict IT inventory inventories. A successful candidate will have a proven track record of providing excellent customer service and strong technical skills.

Requirements

  • Active Secret clearance (or higher)
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Security+ or equivalent DoD 8140 certification.
  • 3+ years of experience in computer support or IT customer service.
  • Experience with computer hardware, software, and printer maintenance.

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Experience with government IT asset management (ITAM) systems.
  • A+ Certification or other relevant technical certifications.
  • Experience supporting government customers.
