Make an Impact as an Infant/Toddler Resource Teacher 

You will provide a learning environment that is safe, healthy and comfortable in order to enhance growth and development of the infants and toddlers in the program. You will maintain all program standards including ChildCareGroup, NAEYC, Head Start and the Texas Department of Protective and Regulatory Services. You will work under the general supervision of the Site-Based Manager and exercise some independent judgement and action.

Position Details  

Responsibilities 

  • Assists in planning, preparation and implementation of work with children appropriate to development level based on RC3; includes developing curriculum, completing child assessments, maintaining records, etc. 
  • Becomes familiar with routine of each classroom in which he/she may work. 
  • Assumes responsibility for daily classroom program in Teacher’s absence. Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities. Provides attractive and functional learning centers. 
  • Develops good relations with children and their families. Serves as a team member in assigned classroom. 
  • Requires the acquisition of knowledge and proficiency of the Head Start Electronic Information System and/or Redelearner Database within the introductory period of employment. ChildCareGroup will train the employee either directly or through the Database Training Department of Head Start of Greater Dallas, Inc.  
  • Participates in parent meetings and parent conferences. 
  • Shares responsibility of setting up room for daily activities, provides attractive and functional learning centers and participates in entry process of child into care giving group. 
  • Assists in the inventory of and request for equipment and supplies.  
  • Assists with special projects and performs other duties as assigned. 


Education and Experience 

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Child Development Associate (CDA) required
  • One year experience working with young children preferred 
  • Must demonstrate desire to work with infant/toddler children, have general knowledge of “normal” growth and development 
  • Must demonstrate ability to work as a team member 
  • Must demonstrate good organizational skills and written and oral communication skills 
  • Must have ability to work effectively with all levels of staff, parents and center volunteers 
  • Regular and prompt attendance required

Travel and Compliance Requirements  

  • Must have a valid Texas driver's license 
  • Driving record must comply with CCG's automobile insurance carrier requirements
