About the Role

USA Firmware is seeking a PLC and HMI Expert to support our clients in the automation industry. This is a contract opportunity designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in programmable logic controllers (PLC) and human-machine interface (HMI) software. You will provide insightful contributions to projects aimed at enhancing industrial automation systems.

What You’ll Do

  • Design, develop, and implement PLC programming for various automation projects.
  • Create user-friendly HMI designs and interfaces based on client specifications.
  • Conduct systems analysis and troubleshooting to enhance the efficiency of existing installations.
  • Provide expert guidance on PLC and HMI technologies, helping clients optimize their processes.
  • Collaborate with engineers and technical teams to ensure seamless integration of systems.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technological advancements.
  • Travel to client sites as needed for installation, support, and training purposes.

Requirements

What You Bring

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in PLC programming and HMI software development.
  • Strong expertise with leading PLC platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric).
  • Proficiency in at least one HMI software tool (e.g., Wonderware, Ignition, WinCC).
  • Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
  • Experience with troubleshooting and optimizing PLC and HMI systems.
  • Ability to write clear and detailed documentation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with diverse teams.
  • Permanently authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in SCADA systems integration.
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO) applicable to industrial automation.
  • Project management skills and experience managing client relationships.
