DSB Technologies is seeking an Injection Molding Technician onsite at Janesville, WI. 

The Injection Molding Technician is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient and consistent manufacturing of high-quality metal components. This role involves preparing and loading feedstock, operating molding machines, inspecting parts, and assisting with minor maintenance and troubleshooting. The technician ensures adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate molding machines and related auxiliary equipment.
  • Prepare and load feedstock into machines according to production specifications.
  • Monitor molding processes to ensure proper machine operation and consistent part quality.
  • Inspect molded parts using measuring tools (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges) to confirm conformance to specifications.
  • Document process parameters, production data, and quality checks accurately and timely.
  • Identify and troubleshoot basic equipment or process issues; escalate as needed.
  • Assist with mold changeovers, cleaning, and preventive maintenance.
  • Maintain clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and safety standards.
  • Work closely with quality, engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure optimal performance.
  • Follow all safety procedures, wear proper PPE, and comply with company policies.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in manufacturing highly preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in injection molding or metal component manufacturing; MIM experience highly preferred.
  • Basic understanding of MIM processes, tooling, and machinery.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production work instructions.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and basic inspection techniques.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with MIM-specific equipment such as debinding furnaces or sintering ovens.
  • Understanding of ISO/quality systems and documentation practices.
  • Lean manufacturing or Six Sigma training is a plus.
