Community Health Network of Connecticut, Inc. (CHNCT) is currently seeking a temporary, part-time Technical Writer.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Under the direction of the director of Community Affairs and Engagement, the technical writer creates documentation specific to the Community Affairs and Engagement Department.
- Documentation includes but not limited to: Department policies, process and evaluation, dashboard user manuals, and program descriptions.
- The writer will aim to simplify intricate concepts and instructions, making them accessible and understandable to both technical and non-technical staff.
Tasks Performed:
- Ensures accuracy, completeness and appropriateness of all documents.
- Researches, gathers, and collaborates with CHNCT Business Systems and Data Services experts and other stakeholders to collect accurate technical information to explain the department dashboards.
- Analyzes and organizes content to determine the most logical and user-friendly way to structure and present information, creating outlines, flowcharts and diagrams.
- Works closely with Community Affairs and Engagement management team and others within CHNCT throughout the product development lifecycle.
Essential Functions:
- Exceptional writing skills to communicate complex technical information clearly, concisely, and accurately.
- Ability to structure and format documents for optimal readability and comprehension.
- Work with Community Affairs and Engagement management team to review content and deliverables; meet imposed deadlines; check documents for spelling, grammar, completeness, appropriateness, and accuracy.
- Understands the importance of product development, content, intent and intended use.
- Gathers user feedback to identify areas for improvement and updates documentation accordingly.
- Supports the department as needed with other writing projects.
Minimum Physical Requirements: This is a remote position using own equipment. Must be able to meet through Zoom/Teams.
Desired Education: Bachelor’s Degree: English, Communications or Technical Writing.
Desired Experience: 3-5 years’ experience in technical writing and project management
