Job Summary:
The Facilities Interior Personnel primary function is to keep facilities clean, safe and in an orderly condition while responding to direction from supervisor, management, and executive staff. A Facilities Interior Personnel can expect to perform heavy cleaning duties including, but not limited to, hard and carpeted floors, walls, glass, removing rubbish, operating equipment of all sizes and event set up and willingness to learn proper cleaning techniques is essential (attendance is a significant consideration in this job classification).
As a Facilities Interior Personnel, you will:
- Interact with the public consistently and daily
- Provide high level of customer service
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping of flooring and stairs.
- Clean and sanitize bathrooms, including toilets, urinals, sinks and countertops
- Replace supplies in the bathrooms (toilet paper, paper towels, soap) and wipes down surfaces.
- Empty all trash cans, replace lines, and clean receptacles as necessary.
- Place full trash bags 55-gallon bucket on castes. When full wheel to dumpster chute for disposal.
- Cleaning windowsills and windows.
- Maintain janitor closest in a clean safe and operable condition.
- Proper labeling, dilution, and use of all chemicals.
- Always wearing proper Personal Protective Equipment.
- Wipe down any tables in the area; rearranges chairs and mop up any spills that may occur.
- Assist with the setup of facilities for meetings and events as necessary.
- Make one trip through assigned section every 30 minutes including checking the rest rooms.
- Be properly equipped with dustpan, broom, putty knife, cleaning rags, and spray bottle always
- Will be required on occasion to work facilities exterior personnel functions as needed.
Essential Functions and Duties:
- Ability to communicate using a 2-way radio
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Must have the ability to walk periods of 6.5 hours or more.
- Be able to work odd hours such as nights, weekends, and holidays
- Carry backpack style equipment for more than 3 hours at a time.
- Tolerate strong odors and chemical smells.
- Able to read and interpret warnings and hazards on cleaning equipment and chemicals used.
- Deal with people in a manner showing sensitivity, tact, and professionalism.
- Able to work with heights.
- Perform repeated bending, reaching, and lifting. Must be able to tolerate unpleasant odors and clean up biological accidents.
- Perform work with a variety of different chemicals and equipment used in the cleaning process.
- Must be able to work around large crowds and increase tempo to accommodate the increased customer demand during holidays and special events.
- The ability lift and carry 35 pounds and up.
Qualifications:
- Minimum high school diploma or GED.
- Experience in Janitorial fields related to Retail and/or office cleaning is preferred.
- Experience using heavy equipment related to hard floor cleaning and carpet care preferred.
- Ability to communicate in English is required.

Pay:
- $21.00
Schedule:
- Morning (6:00am-2:45pm)
- Swing Shift (2:30pm- 11:15pm)
- Overnight (10:00pm- 6:30am)
