About the Role

Are you ready to drive operational excellence through inventory accuracy? Do you bring a strong analytical mindset? At Ariat, we’re seeking a detail-oriented Inventory Accountant to support efficient supply chain operations across our growing business. The Inventory Accountant will report to the Inventory Accounting Manager and work closely with the Finance and Operations teams to deliver timely and accurate inventory reporting that supports strategic decision-making and financial integrity.

 

This individual will perform inventory reconciliations and analyze inventory variances. The person in this role will make an immediate impact by enhancing inventory accuracy and streamlining reporting processes.

The Inventory Accountant will be a core function supporting the accurate reconciliation, and reporting of inventory across all distribution centers

 

The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about inventory integrity, process improvement, and driving operational efficiency through accurate financial reporting.
The person in this role will primarily support inventory accounting functions, including month-end close activities, inventory reconciliations, and collaboration with operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting.

 

You’ll Make a Difference By

  • Maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions and movements in the ERP system.
  • Supporting weekly inventory reconciliations across all distribution centers.
  • Investigating and explaining inventory variances, including cost of goods sold (COGS) fluctuations.
  • Partnering closely with Operations, Warehouse, and Procurement teams to validate inventory levels.
  • Supporting and coordinating cycle count programs.
  • Assisting with month-end and year-end close processes related to inventory.
  • Managing inventory reporting and metrics to management.
  • Supporting audits by preparing inventory documentation.
  • Supporting AD HOC projects as assigned

 

About You

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • At least two years of experience in Inventory / Fixed Assets
  • ERP Solutions SAP preferred, but not required
  • Experience of Inventory Management
  • Variance Analysis
  • Advanced level of Excel

The salary range for this position is $75,000 - $85,000 per year.
