Description
ASC is in search of an Electrical Integration Technician with knowledge of schematics and control wiring in the electrical field; working knowledge of power generation, electronics controls and fuel systems is a plus. This position must be able to identify and resolve discrepancies with the customer prior to ship date.
- Provide involvement and training of electricians on schematic reading, installation, testing and labeling.
- Work with Electrical Integration Engineers
- Properly test and inspect each unit before shipping using product drawings and specifications. Correct any errors or defects as needed with respective Supervisors or Managers.
- Provide leadership and guidance on the standard way ASC should design and lay out the electrical components in the enclosure.
- Deliver technical guidance and on-the-job training to applicable employees on the safe operation of equipment/tools and proper work techniques and skills necessary to complete work assignments.
- Read wiring diagrams and interpret specifications to determine appropriate installation process.
- Must be able to work from drawings, layouts, blueprints, or other specifications while constructing equipment.
- Develop elevation drawings of electrical installation for accurate replication and customer use
Requirements
- Experience in industrial electrical installation / testing / troubleshooting
- A minimum of 3 years of work experience is required to include: design, installation, and testing of electrical equipment.
- Proficient with electrical test equipment AND methods (multimeter, ampmeter, functionality testing with defined indicators)
- Excellent professional communication skills
- Must have a general understanding of generators and industrial installation practices
- General understanding of electrical theory / best practices
- Competency in using electronic test equipment with proven ability to perform functional and indication tests (sensor output, continuity, system function)
- Excellent ability to read and interpret electrical schematic drawings and engineering blueprints.
- Ability to carry out instructions given in written, oral or diagram form; ability to read drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Desired Qualifications:
- AutoCAD experience preferred
- Training from an accredited technical school specializing in diesel or gas engines, or honorable discharge with a duty assignment related to power generation equipment service is a plus.
