Responsibilities
- Hire and mentor avionics manufacturing technicians
- Provide production coordination by driving manufacturing schedule and providing day-to-day support for the production floor, resolving build issues, updating work instructions, and improving yields
- Collaborate with design engineers, manufacturing engineers and quality teams to ensure manufacturability, DFM/DFA compliance, and long-term reliability
- Set daily and weekly production targets, backed by performance metrics
- Develop, document, and optimize manufacturing processes for avionics.
- Establish and maintain high technical standards through specifications and training
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalency certificate
- 5+ years professional experience manufacturing electrical and optical hardware
- Demonstrated experience building, managing and developing a manufacturing team
- Ability to communicate technical challenges, explain rationale and/or resolve concerns
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field
- Experience managing a non-exempt workforce
- 5+ years of demonstrated experience manufacturing for space environments beyond LEO
- Experience in a startup or agile development environment
- Desire to improve team processes and train other team members
Additional Information:
Compensation bands are determined by role, level, location, and alignment with market data. Individual level and base pay is determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related skills, education, experience, technical capabilities and internal equity. In addition to base salary, for full-time hires, you may also be eligible for long-term incentives, in the form of stock options, and access to medical, vision & dental coverage as well as access to a 401(k) retirement plan.
