Marketing Manager – Hybrid | San Diego, CA
Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000
Who We Are
Burger Lounge began in La Jolla in 2007 with a simple mission: do a common thing uncommonly well. We built our reputation on grass-fed, grass-finished beef and whole-food ingredients sourced with integrity.
We’re more than a restaurant, we’re a purpose-driven brand focused on quality, hospitality, and community. Our teams bring fresh thinking and genuine care to everything we do.
If you’re passionate about meaningful food and excited to grow a beloved brand, you’ll feel right at home here.
About The Role
We’re a lean and ambitious team, driven by a simple truth: everything we do starts with the guest—understanding what matters to them, connecting with them in ways that are meaningful, and inspiring them to choose us. The Marketing Manager is a critical part of turning that insight into results. This is a hands-on role in a start-up–like environment: no big team, no unnecessary bureaucracy—just real ownership and the support to make things happen. You’ll be the primary marketing lead, working shoulder-to-shoulder with leadership and supported by trusted external partners (designers, printers, etc.). If you thrive on autonomy, clarity of purpose, and moving fast, this role offers both challenge and opportunity.
The Marketing Manager combines strategic ownership with hands-on execution—ensuring the vision we set together turns into tangible results. You will run the day-to-day marketing function—managing timelines, deliverables, communication flow, and vendor coordination—with the same discipline you bring to shaping strategy. You will have full ownership of our brand strategy, from the marketing calendar to how we talk about our products in ways that build awareness and loyalty. You will also own our Local Store Marketing (LSM) strategy—a trade area–specific platform that allows for smart testing, focused impact, and meaningful contribution to sales growth. And you will participate in the creation of system wide sales strategy, ensuring brand and LSM initiatives are tightly integrated into broader business priorities.
The right candidate is energized by meaningful work and motivated by results. You bring structure and clarity to the everyday while staying connected to the bigger picture. And while growth is absolutely on the table, it’s earned: by demonstrating strategic judgement, managing the function with discipline, and consistently delivering business results. Do that—and this role becomes a launchpad for bigger things.
