JOB SUMMARY:
Working as part of a small team, the Monitor will be responsible for the activities listed below. The setting is a community based facility serving adult probationers with a history of criminal behavior and addiction.
The Monitor is responsible and accountable for monitoring clients and for maintaining a safe and secure environment for both staff and clients. S/he will ensure that clients enter and exit the building in an appropriate manner and remain in assigned areas. S/he will be responsible for monitoring and collecting urine drug screens from clients.
Job Function:
- Supervise and monitor clients in all phases of daily routines including break periods.
- Monitor all educational and clinical classes/groups
- Take accurate attendance of all clients.
- Maintain accurate communications log entries.
- Collection and documentation of urine screens
- Transport participants to and from the center in company van
- Write incident reports as needed and communicate concerns to program management
- Attend and participate in all scheduled meetings and trainings as directed.
- Prevent crisis situations from escalating by intervening and counseling clients.
- Provide support and assistance in any crisis situation.
- Maintain work schedule as directed.
