The Details

Technical Skills

· Stage, organize, wrap, and package finished products in the designated shipping area to prepare for dispatch and prevent damage during shipping and handling.

· Conduct final inspections to ensure products meet the company’s quality standards and are accurately labeled in compliance with shipping requirements.

· Generate and verify packing/load lists to confirm all outbound shipments are complete and accurate.

· Load and unload trucks in a safe, efficient, and organized manner.

· Safely operate equipment, including lift trucks, pallet jacks, cargo bars, straps, dock plates, and various hand and power tools.

Administrative Skills

· Process UPS and other shipments

· Complete forms for shipping area, including ship tickets, ECR, Waybills etc.

· Perform WIP to Finished Goods and other transactions in ERP system

· Maintain inventory of shipping supplies

· Maintain inventory of installation tools and fill tool requests

Work Area and Organization

· Organize and maintain warehouse space

· Coordinate schedules and loads with shop supervision

· Attend and contribute to Production meetings

· Move trucks, trailers and other company vehicles as needed

· Complete local deliveries

Safety and Team Environment

· Foster and enforce a positive safety environment

· Support all company and plant safety initiatives

· Professionally communicate and delegate work amongst team members

· Effectively collaborate with management and peers

· Receive, organize and prioritize work orders

· Review work for quality and compliance with requirements

· Willing and able to train in all duties of the department

· Ensure fellow employees understand their duties and responsibilities

· Complete purchase requisitions when required

· Collaborate with outside vendors and suppliers as needed

· Understand, follow and promote processes and procedures

· Other work as assigned

Requirements

  · Preferred Current Class A Commercial Driver’s License and DOT health card

· Must be forklift certified (will train on the job)

· Basic knowledge of ERP system and warehouse management tools including handheld scanners

· Ability to read architectural and shop drawings

· Possess good analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

· Individual must be a motivated team player that can add value to a team environment

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Ability to direct labor when assigned additional help

· Problem-solving / decision-making capabilities

· Proficient computer skills in MS Office Suite

· Experience with UPS and Hazardous shipping

· Previous leadership experience

· Completion of Manufacturer’s Alliance Professional Team Leader Certification (or equivalent training)


Physical Requirements

This role is physically demanding and requires regular movement in a production setting:


Posture & Movements

  • Occasional (1–10%): Sitting, crouching, climbing      (stairs/ladders/forklift), balancing
  • Infrequent to Moderate (11–33%): Bending/stooping, twisting,      reaching overhead
  • Frequent (34–66%): Walking, pushing/pulling, reaching forward      and low-level
  • Constant (67–100%): Standing

Lifting & Carrying

  • Rare (1–5%): 75–100 lbs.+ (team or assisted lifts only)
  • Occasional (6–33%): 25–74 lbs.
  • Frequent (34–66%): Up to 24 lbs.
