Job Type: Full-Time Swing Shift (Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM- 10:30 PM)

Department: Building & Grounds

Reports to: Lead Porter

Compensation: $29,848.00 - $33,240.00 (based on experience)

Job Summary: This position will report to the Building & Grounds Team Lead Porter. You will assist in keeping the Ministry facilities in a safe & habitable order by performing general cleaning throughout your shift as well as special projects as assigned to the standard set by the Health Department and our Administration. This is a year-round position for the Ministry. You will also assist with event setup and tear down/cleanup. 

Essential Job Functions: 

• Cleans bathrooms using a variety of cleaning liquids including commercial detergents or bleach 
• Follows OSHA & Health Department guidelines, ensure proper handling/mixing of all chemical cleaning solutions
• Ensures that all floors, mirrors, sinks, faucets, doors, handles, toilet seats, and bowls are clean and disinfected to Health Department standards. Restock all paper products as needed as well as remove trash frequently 
• Able to occasionally work flexible hours, weekends, and special events based on the ministry’s needs
• Vacuums all carpeted areas. Dust mops and Wet Mops (or floor scrubbers) on all hard surface floors. 
• Maintains all common areas (entryways, lobby, offices, MPR, classrooms, hallways, etc) to the standard set forth by Administration
• Operates, cleans, and maintains floor scrubbers, vacuums, extractors, etc. Communicates to maintenance technicians when one of these pieces of equipment needs servicing
• Identifies and evaluates problems, and communicates with maintenance technicians for solutions
• Serves as a role model to the students by demonstrating a Christian lifestyle
• Possesses integrity and exhibits personality skills that allow them to relate well with students, parents, teachers, and co-workers. 
• Assists in the setup and teardown of lunch tables. Assists in setup and teardown of special events. 
• Safely lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds as part of daily operations
• Other duties as the supervisor deems necessary.

Experience: Custodial/EVS/Porter Experience preferred for at least 1 year
