Production Trainer Second Shift Essential Functions/Duties:
- Assist with the implementation, and evaluation of training and training programs within their department.
- Assist with the delivery of production specific training needs.
- Ongoing communication with Team Members, Safety, Quality, Production, Team Building etc.
- Problem solving and troubleshooting production related issues and root cause analysis.
- Ensure that employees work in a safe manner – wearing prescribed PPE. Taking every precaution reasonable, providing awareness of risks.
- Report and communicate training progress and training-related activities for all new hires and current employees.
- Ensure associates are provided proper tools/training/support to deliver a world-class product.
- Report any safety or performance issues to the Team Lead and shift manager.
- Support in reporting of the Training matrix and signatures.
- Ensure training of OP Mobility processes of all Production Operators.
- Maintain low scrap and rework focussing on root cause elimination.
- Informing, advising, supporting, and motivation of personnel.
- Follow division’s KPI’s and implement strategies to achieve divisional goals and objectives.
- Can stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor Manager, or Plant Director of quality-related matters requiring immediate action.
- Can stop production, upon notifying the Supervisor, Maintenance Supervisor Manager, or Plant Director of safety-related matters requiring immediate action.
- Perform warehouse management (WM) activities as requested.
- Ensure 5s and Respect OP Mobility Austin facility.
- Cooperation with Human Resources in dealing with personal matters.
- Ensure conformance to all company and legislative policies and procedures and Rules of Conduct.
- Use or wear PPE as required.
- Perform all duties safely and enviromentally.
- Ensuring compliance to and participation in IATF 16949 and CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) compliance and ISO 14001 certification.
- Supporting the launch of ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
- Other activities as assigned by department and/or training leadership.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Highschool diploma or equivalent
- Team Player
- Ability to handle multiple projects
- Meet or exceed all requirements of a team member and operate all stations at 100% takt time. Capable to train /explain all aspects of WI & Quality
- Ability to train to varying learning styles and adapt as needed per employee
- Previous work experience within department required whether at Plastic Omnium or previous employment
- Previous training experience preferred
- IATF16949/CSR (Customer Specific Requirements) ISO 14001
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
