Are you passionate about patient care and helping others? We have an exciting opportunity for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position at Ridgeview Institute Smyrna. This role offers the chance to work collaboratively with our health team members and under the direction of registered nurses. As a licensed practical nurse, you will provide nursing care in accordance with the nursing process and our standards of care and practices. Join us in our mission to provide exceptional psychiatric care to our patients.

 

  • Document patient information and changes in patient condition 
  • Alert the RN of changes needing reassessment 
  • Administer medication to patients 
  • Utilize appropriate interventions in psychiatric and medical emergencies
  • Orient patients to treatment programs and monitor activity, encouraging participation 
  • Use facility-approved CPI techniques

 

Your Experience Matters What we’re looking for:

 

  • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: Graduate from an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing School. For the ambulatory setting, previous ambulatory nursing experience is preferred. A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a psychiatric healthcare facility is preferred.
  • CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSURES: Current licensure by the Georgia State Board of Nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Must pass a medication administration exam before administering medications.

Compensation:

This is a full-time role; the expected compensation range is $20.00-$24.00/hour, plus a $3,000.00 sign-on bonus ($1,000.00 for part-time). We’re eager to engage with all qualified candidates and will consider experience and skill level. Join us as our LPN!
