The Lutheran Home is seeking a dedicated full-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This position offers a predictable two-week schedule and the opportunity to provide compassionate care across our healthcare community. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Providing skilled professional nursing care as prescribed by the physician, in compliance with State Board of Nursing regulations and Lutheran Home policies.
- Obtaining and relaying necessary information from the off-going nurse for resident care follow-up.
- Verify narcotic/controlled medication counts.
- Gives daily report/instruction and assigning tasks for nursing assistants.
- Monitor dining rooms during mealtimes to ensure proper diet and assistance for residents.
- Conducting comprehensive assessments of residents and documenting care, medications, and treatments.
- Performing and documenting admissions, transfers, and discharges as needed.
- Observing residents for changes in condition and reporting to physicians, families and nursing staff.
- Obtaining and updating physician orders as necessary.
- Providing education to residents and families on medical issues, including disease process, medications, and safety.
- Responding quickly to emergencies, initiating life-saving measures when needed.
- Addressing resident, family, or physician concerns, and reporting issues to the Unit Manager or Shift Supervisor.
In this full-time role, you’ll follow a consistent two-week schedule, working 7 out of 14 days with a three-day weekend every other week. Available shifts include:
- Night shift: 6:45 pm to 7:15 am

Education Requirements:
- Current unrestricted LPN license in the State of Missouri (or eligibility for licensure)
- CPR certification
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems preferred
