ROLE SUMMARY
The Bonide HR Manager will own the employee lifecycle. This role will act as partner to the various business units to help drive employee engagement, satisfaction and productivity.
This role works as a partner/advisor to the General Manager, functional leaders, and employees by executing/aligning HR strategies with functional needs in the areas of: talent management, organizational design, change management, leadership/functional development, succession planning, employee relations, performance management, compensation and benefits administration, learning and career opportunities.
The HR Manager works closely with the General Manager, his leadership team and directly support all employees from production and the office to execute the company’s HR strategy and continuously improve the work environment, increase engagement and improve retention.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Acts as an active and influential player enabling the effective diagnosis of business issues / strategy and goals, turning these into HR plans.
- Responsible for managing compliance cases & investigations locally if they arise.
- Acting as change agent to drive cultural change and keep our values real across the company and connected to the local communities.
- Manage talent optimization and retention by establishing salary, compensation, benefits, rewards and recognition, career paths, learning, development and performance plans.
- Advise hiring managers on key decisions throughout the staffing process, including candidate profiles, assessment process, offers and process efficiencies and improvements.
- Provides advice and coaching to the General Manager, Senior Managers, Plant Supervisors on HR matters and acts as a sounding board and coach.
- Create and implement HR policies, processes and practices focusing on continuous improvement and business needs.
- Acts as the performance improvement driver and provokes positive changes in the HR management.
- Educate and advice management on personnel issues including separation, severance, job transfers and promotions.
- Manages and tracks C&B budget, Headcount, Contractors and other HR data in partnership with Finance.
- Be an ambassador for the function and represent Adama HR internally and externally (as appropriate)
- Additional duties as assigned
CRITICAL EXPERIENCES FOR SUCCESS
To be successful in this role you will have/be:
- Ability to collaborate and develop strong relationships with all levels of personnel within the organization.
- Strong knowledge of US employment laws and regulations
- Critical to the success of this role will be to develop highly efficient and scalable processes to manage onboarding, and employee services end to end.
- Previous experience working in Manufacturing/Operations
- Implement global initiatives that will result in strong employee engagement
- Proactive and result oriented, with the ability to take decisions and deliver high quality results quickly when necessary and the resilience to challenge/be challenged
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and competing priorities. High energy, with a willingness to “roll up the sleeves” and get the job done
- Ability to work at a strategic level, but also function at a tactical level
- Ability to be hands on operational issues
- Ability to clearly articulate technical challenges, goals and solutions
- Excellent analytical skills and the ability to deal with ambiguous or loosely defined problems
- Evaluating and deploying people accurately: reads people accurately; can diagnose strengths, weaknesses, and potential; knows what skills are required to fill a job or role; hires the best
- Dealing with trouble: fearlessly takes on all issues, challenges, and people; comfortably confronts and works through conflict deals promptly and fairly with problem performers
- Expert in MS Office (Power Point, Excel, HRIS)

Education:
- A Bachelor’s degree (Human Resources, Industrial Engineer, Business, Law, Psychologist or another applicable field)
- MBA/master’s degree a plus
- Must have fluency in Written and Verbal English
The following experiences are preferred:
- PHR/SPHR certification
- Minimum of 4 years of HR Partner with generalist background .
- Experience in the chemical (agrochemical, pharmaceutical, other) with manufacturing operations is a plus.
- Prior experience in multiple HR disciplines such as organizational design and development, change management, performance management, talent management, employee engagement, compensation and benefits design, employee relations and HR tools.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 10%
- Bilingual: Spanish is a plus
