Summary: The technical support team is responsible for answering and resolving technical support issues with workstation hardware & software products. The ideal candidate will be focused on providing excellent customer service, team-oriented, able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, exude excellent verbal communication skills, able to document thoroughly, and excel at working independently.

 General Responsibilities:

  • Travel throughout Texas to provide technical support, or moves/adds/changes to workstations at one of the 46 locations  
  • Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot computer systems, computer peripherals, and software packages 
  • Respond to incidents and service requests in the ticketing system, tracking time to resolve.
  • Convert requests made over the phone, in person, online chat, etc. into a formal request.
  • Meeting request SLAs and documenting resolutions and solutions.  
  • Advanced troubleshooting of personal computers and laptops running Windows Operating Systems 
  • Document, maintain, upgrade or replace hardware and software system  
  • Install and update desktop software including but not limited to, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, Bentley products, Office 365, Adobe products, various engineering software applications, and other basic software programs 
  • Image and deploy new workstations for new employees including installation, cabling, verify deliverables, and orientation.
  • Remove spyware, viruses, bloatware, and other unwanted software when necessary.
  • Troubleshoot and provide user support for hardware. Assist employees in setup for video conferencing. Printer maintenance/support 
  • Train end users computer, email, audio/video, and telecommunication features and functionality  
  • Troubleshoot physical cabling (voice & data) issues that affected workstation connectivity 

Required Education:

  • Associate degree and/or equivalent work experience. High school diploma or GED - required 

Required Experience:

  • Microsoft Networking, Active Directory, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, RDP, and VPN access required 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Operating Systems – required 
  • Minimum of 5 years’ hands-on experience in Information Technology 
  • Experience working in a medium-size business or larger for a year  
  • Experience with Windows Servers - workstation or user management 
  • In-depth understanding of LAN concepts  
  • PC imaging and deployment knowledge/experience  
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment 
  • Certifications a plus (ITIL, A+, MCP, etc.)
