THE ROLE  

The Production Lead will assist our team in providing value-added goods and services to our customers.  Under the supervision of the Group Manager and Production Manager, the Lead will provide instruction and direction to the crews. The Lead Person will also be responsible for filling in and assisting the production process when necessary. They will be responsible for helping to carry out the daily schedule and assist the Group Manager with achieving daily KPI Targets. The lead will be responsible for further assisting the team’s progression in our SQDCI system

 

Principle Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Preparation of frames and jambs used in pre-hanging process  
  • Prepare, machine and hang wood and fiberglass doors  
  • Learn operation of production line machinery  
  • Palletize, brace, and wrap with stretch film using automated equipment  
  • Maintain quality control on all items produced  
  • Maintain a safe work environment  
  • Must be able to lift 70 lbs unassisted and repeatedly  
  • Must be willing to work some overtime hours  

 

 

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities 

  • Strong organizational skills  
  • Positive outgoing attitude  
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented  
  • Ability to work with others in a fast-paced, high-volume environment  
  • Ability to work in a TEAM atmosphere  
  • Knowledge of door pre-hanging process and pocket frame assembly a plus  
  • Product knowledge including millwork and fiberglass doors a plus  
  • Ability to accurately read a tape measure  
  • Good communication skills  
  • Good paperwork accuracy  
  • Good attendance history  
  • Excellent work habits  
  • Strong attention to detail  

 

Education and Experience 

  • 2+ years production lead experience
