Summary: 

Our Precision Components division is looking for an Assembler to assemble aircraft component parts following operation sheets & blueprints using a variety of small hand tools and machinery. 

 

Essential Functions:

  • Assemble complex aerospace components by bolting, screwing, and riveting parts together.
  • Inspect and verify quality of work when complete.
  • Using micrometers and calipers to verify work performed is conforming to BP tolerance. 
  • Files and buff part to fit. 
  • Drill, tap, ream, and countersink parts using a Bridgeport.
  • Positions and aligns parts. 
  • Bolts, screws, and rivets parts together. 
  • Disassemble and replace parts as required.
  • Cleans and lubricates parts and assemblies.  
  • Lift pieces and positions to secure on machine table or in holding fixtures. 
  • Assist other assemblers and employees as required to meet production and safety requirements. 
  • Performs daily 6S (sort, set in order, shine, standardize, sustain, and safety) activities in work area. 
  • Perform other related duties or responsibilities as required. 

 

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Must be a “U.S. Person” as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data
  • High School Degree or G.E.D
  • Minimum 1 year of Assembly experience in a Manufacturing environment or equivalent preferred.  

 

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and speak English at a functional level
  • Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
  • Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand engineering work instructions and blueprints. 
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. 
  • Ability to travel domestically – 10% max

 

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to lift 35lbs
  • Must be able to sit and stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to go up and down stairs frequently
