Inbound Handler I
POSITION SUMMARY
Unloads trailers with cartons and/or hanging products and builds pallets with inventory.
KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Verifies that the trailer has been initiated, unlocks safety latch, operates dock plate and moves/positions the flex conveyor as needed.
- Follow all CTPAT security trailer inspections.
- Works inside or outside trailer to off load cases or hanging garments.
- Move cases from Inbound sort lanes, using RF scanners to scan cases onto a pallet. Apply labels and push rolling pallet onto conveyor.
- Remove box jams on conveyor and sorter, clear re-circulation lines, move pallets and sort assignments as needed.
- Additional duties as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
Relevant Work Experience
- Prior warehouse experience a plus.
Physical Requirements
- Lift and carry 25 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Reach above shoulder level and bend down to floor level.
- Stand for 8 – 10 hours per day.
- Able to tolerate hot/cold conditions in trailers depending on the weather.
