We are currently looking for a Sr Specialist Payroll US & Canada to join our team in Nissan HQ (CDMX) This role is essential to ensuring accurate payroll operations, financial compliance, and cross-functional collaboration across departments.
A Day in the Life:
- Resolve employee payroll inquiries and distribute payroll communications
- Support payroll operations and ensure compliance with U.S. and Canadian regulations
- Reconcile payroll accounts and prepare journal entries and audit documentation
- Collaborate with HR, benefits, and finance teams to maintain payroll accuracy
- Participate in system integrations, testing, and payroll KPI reporting
Who We’re Looking for:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Accounting
- 4 to 6 years of payroll experience in a large organization (U.S. and Canada preferred).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
- Proficiency in English (TOEIC score above 700 preferred)
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with payroll/accounting systems
Desired:
- Experience with PeopleSoft or SAP payroll systems
- Bilingual communication skills
- Knowledge of U.S. payroll processing, tax, and garnishment; Canadian payroll preferred
- Ability to reconcile payroll records with general ledger accounts
- Experience conducting internal audits and preparing documentation for external audits

Reports to: Payroll Manager
Supervisory Capacity: Acts as consultant and trainer to payroll department staff
