About the role
We are currently recruiting for a Quality Assurance Specialist, at our manufacturing facility in Listowel. This role is on a full time, permanent basis. To be successful you will have knowledge of Quality and Compliance through previous employment and / or education.

What you'll be doing
- Finished product positive release
- Customer Complaint Investigations
- Conduct internal quality system audits
- Support audit readiness and participate in internal and external inspections
- Accountable for managing the resolution and close out of issues, incidents which have been identified as part of the audit process.
- Adhering to relevant testing schedules by sending samples for dairyfree analysis; nutritional analysis; pathogen analysis; end of life testing; contaminant testing etc. Trending of results.
- Preparing daily product quality panel and entering results into SAP. Reporting on any deviations from standard.
- Attend and participate at daily kaizen meeting ensuring quality metrics are inputted prior to meeting.
- Complete glass/plastic checks
- Updating documentation – Food Safety & Quality Manual; GMP Manual.
- Compile and complete monthly KPI metrics.
- Manage action plans based on CAPA, using Intelex portal for root cause analysis.
- Partake in site NCR investigation process.
- Review and update own brand finished product specifications.
- Verify any artwork claims on finished product packaging.
- Providing support during external Customer, Certification and Regulatory audits
What you can bring to the role
- Primary Degree in Science (Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science or equivalent).
- Previous experience within a similar role within food manufacturing.
- Excellent technical, organizational, attention to detail and interpersonal skills.
- Dynamic, self-driven and capable of working on your own initiative and as part of a cross functional team.
- Working knowledge of GMP and HACCP principals.
- Competencies in IT based applications such as SAP etc.
