As a Deployment Quality & Retrofit Engineer, you are responsible for identifying, analyzing, and correcting design and implementation issues in the deployment of Nokia equipment across the shared RAN infrastructure. Your role is pivotal in ensuring that all installations meet technical, environmental, and operational standards, with a strong focus on retrofit projects aimed at resolving legacy deployment shortcomings—such as excessive noise, heat dissipation, and cabinet layout inconsistencies. Additionally, your responsibilities include updating existing guidelines and drafting new ones from scratch to ensure alignment with evolving technical and operational requirements.
Job Description:Deployment Clean-Up & Retrofit Execution
- Lead retrofit initiatives to correct design flaws, including thermal and acoustic issues, improper cabinet configurations, and non-standard installations
- Coordinate with engineering, build, maintenance, and acceptance teams to validate and implement corrective actions.
- Be a transversal actor and facilitate the exchange of technical information
Engineering Guidelines & Governance
- Contribute to the creation, review, and enforcement of engineering guidelines, including cabinet layout, cooling strategies, and multisockel installation
- Maintain alignment with technical specifications.
- Support the development of microcell swap guidelines and ensure their integration into the broader engineering framework
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as a liaison between field operations, engineering, and external parties to ensure retrofit feasibility and compliance.
- Participate in technical meetings and working groups focused on engineering, quality and guidelines drafting and reviewing
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Review and validate technical documents such as cabinet swap guidelines, derogation justifications, and retrofit plans.
- Ensure that non-standard solutions are properly documented and reusable for future cases
- Master or experienced Bachelor in electromechanics, or automation. With a strong technical background focused on hardware.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and manage technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders
