Monte Sano Research Corporation (MSRC) is a Huntsville-based Small Business specializing in providing full-spectrum defense system engineering, research, design, development, integration, test, evaluation, and planning services to the U.S. Government.

MSRC is seeking a Aerospace Engineer to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex problems. 

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Aerospace Engineer will provide technical expertise and support for energetics operations and testing to support aerospace, defense, and industrial programs.  In this role, the Aerospace Engineer will collaborate closely with engineers, scientists, and R&D teams to ensure testing and evaluation are conducted to meet manufacturability, performance, and reliability requirements.

 Responsibilities include supporting energetic operations, designing support hardware, supporting testing activities and researching new designs or systems.  

Basic Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience working with and around energetic materials including casting solid propellants and working with ignitors.
• Experience using planetary mixers with energetic materials.
• Experience designing hardware that is used in operations with energetic materials.
• Assembly and dissemble of energetics components 

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science in accredited Engineering or scientific discipline required.
• Background in Chemistry preferred.

Additional Requirements:

• Active Secret DoD Clearance or eligibility to obtain clearance.
• Must be able to obtain Ammunition & Explosives Handler Certification
• Candidate must be a U.S. Citizen.
