- Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and commercial roofing jobs
- Attend and participate in Pre-construction meetings
- Read and understand field books with various construction job scopes of work, plans and specifications to be able to properly plan out jobs and perform work accordingly within schedules and budgets
- Establish lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, Field Personnel, Etc.) before, during and after job completion
- Instructs the best practices for roofing production by fully participating in on the job training as well as periodic manufacturer training.
- Trains employees on safety procedures and safety equipment.
- Teaches terminology of roofing materials, tools, and equipment and proper use.
- Plans, administrates, and participates as instructor in company sponsored education programs for new hires and developing roof technicians.
- Recruits, trains, mentors, and retains a dependable and knowledgeable field personnel
- Ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient and most cost effective manner
- High School Diploma or equivalent; +8 years of related experience and/or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of commercial roofing experience.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Strong ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business documents, including periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations.
- Skilled in writing reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Comfortable working at heights and able to safely position an extension ladder for roof inspections and surveys.
- Strong mathematical skills, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to understand and carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
