08/18/2025 Additional Information: Show/Hide Establish and maintain an active social media presence and ensuring all brand standards are met for assigned accounts across CREC’s many schools and programs.
Collaborate on communication plans, including social marketing strategies and other outreach, to ensure resources and information are accessible.
Support the communications team in developing and parsing content across branded graphics for print/social/online posts and ads, writing press releases, and other tasks related to developing original content.
Ensure branding and style compliance, and represent the Communication Team policies and guidelines across all materials.
Gather, review, and analyze data regularly to assess the impact of marketing efforts; identify trends and/or opportunities; recommend strategies and actions to improve perception, awareness, reputation, etc.
Research and evaluate service/program competitors and partners to support the assessment of features, value propositions, market share, etc.
Support subject matter experts with copy, visuals, ideas, etc. to improve promotions and increase quality.
Frequent collaboration with Communications team coordinating and hosting events, occasionally during non-standard work hours and on weekends (approximately 3-5 times per year).
Comply with all company policies and procedures.

- Bachelor's Degree (BA) from four-year college or university in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Graphic Design, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Basic knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite applications
Proficient in technology with the ability to learn new workflow and business tools and systems

Since 1966, the Capitol Region Education Council (CREC) has been dedicated to providing innovative, high-quality, and cost-effective educational programs and services to meet the diverse needs of children and adults in Greater Hartford. Serving 33 member districts and reaching additional communities statewide, CREC supports approximately 12,000 students annually through more than 120 educational programs. Our offerings include professional learning and coaching for educators, specialized programming for students with diverse needs, and PreK-12 education across 16 interdistrict magnet schools. Additionally, CREC provides school construction, operations, and cooperative business services, while also delivering programs that help adults build real, job-ready skills.
