Basic Purpose and Objective of the Position:
The Maintenance Technician III is responsible for ensuring the functionality and reliability of production and facility equipment at Dexter Magnetic Technologies. The technician conducts routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs while adhering to safety standards and operational excellence. By proactively addressing equipment needs and troubleshooting issues, the Maintenance Technician III plays a critical role in minimizing downtime and maintaining high production efficiency.
Primary Responsibilities—reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions:
• Preventive Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment as scheduled, following manufacturer recommendations and CMMS instructions.
• Fluid Management: Replace coolant, oils, and other fluids according to prescribed schedules, utilizing maintenance manuals and schematics.
• Repair & Troubleshooting: Diagnose, repair, and replace worn parts, addressing mechanical and electrical breakdowns in a timely and effective manner.
• Safety & Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety standards, policies, and procedures. Maintain a clean and hazard-free work environment, proactively addressing potential safety risks.
• New Equipment Setup: Assist with the installation, setup, and qualification of new equipment to meet operational requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all maintenance activities in the CMMS system. Provide detailed reports to the Facilities Manager, including parts or supplies needed for task completion.
• Technical Expertise: Read, interpret, and utilize electrical schematics and mechanical drawings to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.

Qualifications:
Education:
High School Diploma required.
College or technical training in CNC Fundamentals, Electrical Maintenance, PLC Logic, or CNC Maintenance preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in preventive maintenance and troubleshooting within a manufacturing environment, with proven expertise in addressing mechanical and electrical issues on industrial manufacturing equipment.
