About the Role:

As a Senior IT Analyst specializing in Manufacturing Automation, you will play a crucial role in optimizing the manufacturing processes at the Baudette manufacturing site. Your primary responsibility will be to design, implement, and manage robust automation solutions to enhance efficiency and productivity. You will be actively involved in monitoring automated systems, identifying and responding to issues, and conducting regular assessments to ensure reliability and safety. You will need to work with the operations team to build and maintain reporting capabilities to ensure timely response to manufacturing and packaging performance.

In this role, you will collaborate closely with the manufacturing team to develop and enforce automation policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. You will also provide training and support to staff on automation best practices, keeping them informed about the latest trends and technologies. Your expertise will be vital in maintaining a streamlined and efficient manufacturing environment, contributing to the overall success and integrity of our operations

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage automation solutions to optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Monitor automated systems for performance and efficiency, and respond promptly to any issues.
  • Conduct regular assessments and testing to ensure the reliability and safety of automation systems.
  • Collaborate with the manufacturing team to develop and enforce automation policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements related to manufacturing automation.
  • Provide training and support to staff on automation best practices.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in manufacturing automation to continuously improve processes.

Skills/Competences:

  • Strong knowledge of automation protocols and technologies (e.g., PLCs, SCADA, robotics).
  • Proficiency in monitoring and troubleshooting automated systems.
  • Experience with system integration and process optimization.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret data to identify opportunities for automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to manufacturing automation.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in automation technologies are highly desirable.
  • Additional training or coursework in manufacturing automation is a plus.
