SUMMARY 

Develops and implements the installation of sensors and electro mechanical devices in dies to monitor die performance and measure dimensional conformance. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Other duties may be assigned. 
• Knowledge of Charmilles/Robofil 
• Specialized knowledge in Charmilles      maintenance and repair
• Set up and operate, edit programs
• Familiar with DOS based computer      commands
• 3 years die experience a plus
• Ability to read detail prints and      machine details to print specifications
• Calculate speeds and feeds
• Responsible for checking own work      using micrometers, calipers, and other measuring devices
• Technical knowledge and logical      troubleshooting skills
• Detail oriented and works with a      high degree of accuracy
• Surface grinding and other      machining experience
• Understands and enforces all safety      rules and environmental procedures in plant.

1. EDUCATION and/or      EXPERIENCE      3 years of die making or die repair experience; or one to two years      related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education      and experience. 
2. COMMUNICATION      SKILLS      Ability to read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures. Ability to      write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present      information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients,      customers, die makers, engineers, and production press operators. 
3. MATHEMATICAL      SKILLS      Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and      statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and      trigonometry. Must be know general dimensional and tolerances as it      applies to automotive design specifications. 
4. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply      common sense understanding of blueprint specifications. Ability to deal      with problems involving several variables in design specifications. 
5. CERTIFICATES,      LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS Must have certificate or registration in      use of electric power systems and devices, particularly low voltage      equipment and devices.
