Caldwell University invites applications for a part-time Bi-Lingual Career Counselor. This position is part of a grant-funded Title 5 program through September 30, 2028. Reporting to the  Director of Career Planning and Development, the part-time bi-lingual Career Counselor supports diverse students at a Hispanic Serving Institution by providing career guidance and resources, with a focus on bilingual (English/Spanish) support. This role assists students and recent graduates in making informed educational and career choices, developing job-related skills, and achieving their professional goals. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to student success, skilled in career development strategies, and fluent in both English and Spanish. Job duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Career Advising & Guidance: Conducting one-on-one advising on career readiness, job search strategies, resume writing, interviewing, and networking. Helping students define career goals and navigate job markets

  • Bilingual Student Support: Offering advising and workshops in both English and Spanish. Translating career resources as needed and engaging in outreach programs tailored to bilingual students.

  • Workshop Development: Collaborating with the Director and Assistant Director to design and lead bilingual workshops on career topics like job search, LinkedIn optimization, and professional branding.

  • Employer & Alumni Engagement: Fostering connections with bilingual employers and alumni for mentoring and networking. Assisting in coordinating bilingual career events.

  • Resource Development: Maintaining a library of bilingual career resources and contributing to culturally relevant content.

  • Data & Reporting: Tracking and reporting advising activities, assessing program impact, and identifying areas for improvement.



Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, or related field is required. Candidates with a Master’s degree are preferred.  A minimum of one year in career or academic advising is essential. Experience with bilingual/Spanish-speaking populations is also preferred. Candidates must be fluent in English and Spanish along with strong verbal and written skills. Proficiency with career software (Handshake, LinkedIn), Google Workspace, and Qualtrics.  Occasional evening and weekend campus presence required for this position.
