Shipping and Receiving Clerk: Performs shipping, receiving, billing and reporting functions in a warehouse environment to assist the City of Virginia Beach Fleet contract.
This is an hourly position.
Responsibilities:
Provide quality customer service to include but not limited to the following:
- Attention to detail
- Review, familiarize with and adhere to MANCON’s SOPs
- Meet and greet customers and vendors
- Acts as a technical point of contact for Shipping and Receiving functions
- Performs daily inbound receipt of all orders from vendors
- Verify materials against receiving, shipping, and inventory documents, reporting any discrepancies and damage
- Review supplied requisition forms to ensure they are properly completed (Signatures, timestamps, part numbers, descriptions, and quantities)
- Inform customers when requested parts are available
Data Entry Requirements
- Assist in the entry of vendor receiving and return documents in the business system
- Organize, file, and scan receiving documents in the business system
- Assist in generating and completing sales invoices for customer requisitions in the business system
- Reconcile all customer invoices to the inventory system for all daily sales transactions
Inventory Management Requirements
- Assist in performing weekly inventory cycle counts
- Assist in performing counts during wall-to-wall inventories at site
- Provide causative research for vendor invoices or credits and work with the corporate office to address accounting issues.
- Assist with inventory research projects as requested
- Work with the contract customer to research any billing issues that do not match the customer’s Fleet Management System.
- Operates hand or power trucks and/or forklift in performing warehouse duties
- May make emergency deliveries as necessary
Other Requirements
- Provide 24-hour support at the customer location during emergencies
- Assist with inventory research projects as requested
- Adhere to required procedures
- Operate a forklift
- Assist with supervisor duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Valid driver's license
- Obtain and maintain a forklift license
- One year experience in a warehouse environment
