Respiratory Therapist- Local or Traveler

Place of Performance:

White River Junction, VT

A-Team Solutions is seeking an RRT for day . 12hr shifts Friday, Saturday, and Sunday with an 8hr shift, every other Monday night for the VA in White River Junction, VT. The RRT must also be willing to be on rotating on call schedule.

Job Duties:

Provide respiratory assessment and make recommendations for and monitor treatment modalities as requested by nursing or medical services. Examples of treatment modalities may include post pneumonia follow up care, tracheostomy management, oxygen therapy, and ventilator management.

Assist with the evaluation of set up and ongoing operation of respiratory care equipment provided by outside vendors. Consults with physicians regarding specific benefits an individual might be expected to receive from a prescribed therapy and makes recommendations accordingly. Documents all assessments and recommendations on the physician progress notes; if direct treatment is provided, document the specific treatment, results and expected outcome.

Provide in-service training to nursing staff and direct care staff regarding respiratory assessment, equipment, and treatments as needed. Services shall be provided Monday through Sunday, including official State of Maryland Holidays, during all direct care staff shifts.

Job Requirements:

Shall have two (2) years of experience providing Respiratory Therapy Services which includes serving individuals who are intellectually disabled.

Shall be certified RRT

BLS and ACLS required
